Robin is a management consultant with over 30 year's business experience in UK and overseas markets. He has director level experience with technology companies and extensive knowledge of the public sector. A frank and decisive leader he brings wisdom and common sense to any situation. He is a skilled mentor, advisor and facilitator with experience in business strategy, marketing, change management and business process improvement. Robin enjoys coaching individuals and teams to fulfill their potential in projects or in setting up their own business. He is an enthusiastic and imaginative leader with the ability to inspire teams achieve stretching goals.
Key strengths and areas of expertise
Marketing - He has researched, planned and implemented marketing plans for private companies and the public sector. He has also built and managed successful marketing teams by coaching and adopting new techniques for both b2c and b2b audiences.
Marketing process change and improvement - He has a passion for process improvement but focuses on the people side of implementation, recognising that it is team members who need to adopt new ways. He is friendly but persuasive in his approach and has successfully implemented marketing management systems and digital asset databases in the public sector. He has also worked on CRM and prospect databases.
Project and programme management - He has devised numerous innovative projects and change programmes then delivered these successfully using his influencing and networking skills. Has extensive experience with initiating projects to address special business goals such as developing new products and marketing in the private sector and in the public sector projects for the economic development of Scotland.
